Details

The PSF swaps the two switches in the EMU Sync for an analogue sensor that reads where a magnet sits in the slider. Instead of just "tension" or "compression", Happy Hare gets a value from 0 to 1, with 0.5 as neutral, so it can keep the gear motor and extruder properly in sync and home to the extruder without a toolhead entry sensor.

What's in the bag

  • PSF PCB
  • 2× ECAS04 bowden couplings
  • Spring, 0.4 × 6 × 25 mm
  • Magnet, Ø4 × 15 mm, N35
  • 4× M2×6 SHCS

Not included: the printed EMUSync PSF housing. The STLs are in the EMU repo.

Good to know

  • One per EMU, it sits in the bowden between the unit and the toolhead.
  • No extra board needed: the signal goes to an analogue (thermistor) pin on a board you already have.
  • Calibrate once with MMU_CALIBRATE_PSENSOR before the first load, and set extruder_homing_endstop: proportional if your toolhead has no entry sensor.
  • Happy Hare supports the PSF on other MMUs too, if you print a housing for it.

In stock in the Netherlands, ships in 1–2 working days with no import fees.

For the EMU by DW-Tas and igiannakas. Sourced from the EMU project's licensed PCB maker. Assembly: EMUSync housing for the PSF sensor (manual)
