Details
A filament buffer that knows where it is. Instead of an endstop that only tells you "full" or "empty", the Compensator reads the buffer position continuously with two linear Hall sensors and a single moving magnet. Your controller gets a true analog position on an ADC input: centre and both travel limits are known, so filament-management systems like AFC can run closed-loop without calibration.
What it does
- Dual linear Hall-effect sensing, contactless, no mechanical switches
- Continuous analog buffer-position output, plus the two raw Hall signals
- Tells the difference between normal filament movement, the buffer filling or emptying, centre and the travel limits
- For multi-colour systems, filament feeders, autoloaders and toolchangers
Good to know
- PCB only. Printed parts are not included.
- The Turtle Neck 2 Remastered has this buffer built in and runs up to 6 of these from its MCU.
Pre-order. I'm bringing these in from Pulsar3D in the US. They're waiting on their own batch, so I can't give a ship date yet. As soon as they land in the Netherlands they go out to you, and you pay no import fees or customs on top.
