A solid polycrystalline-diamond (PCD) tip — a real diamond insert, not a coating — in a HotEnd that drops straight into Bambu's H2 and P2 series and the X2D. An official collaboration between E3D, DiamondBack and Bambu Lab.
PCD is thousands of diamond crystals bonded diamond-to-diamond: it keeps diamond's hardness without the brittleness of a single crystal. Metal-, ceramic- and fibre-filled filaments that destroy brass and steadily wear hardened steel barely touch it. It also conducts heat better than anything else in a nozzle, which helps layer adhesion, and the polished tip leaves top surfaces looking almost ironed.
Fits
Bambu Lab H2D, H2C, H2S, P2S, X2D and A2L. 1.75 mm filament. Drop-in: no change to the mount or part cooling, and your existing slicer profiles keep working. Bambu Lab approved it officially, so your printer warranty stays intact. Not compatible with the X1/P1 or A1 series — for those see the X1 & P1 version.
Four sizes, and which to skip
0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm. Skip 0.2 and 0.4 for heavily filled filament — the fibres are often close to the hole size. Want flow as well as hardness? The ObXiDian 500 for the same machines costs less and adds up to 60% flow rate.
