The nozzle you buy once. A solid polycrystalline-diamond (PCD) tip — not a coating — in a HotEnd that drops straight into the Bambu Lab A1, A1 Mini or A2L. Made by E3D with DiamondBack, under official licence from Bambu Lab.
Diamond is the hardest material there is, so metal-, ceramic- and fibre-filled filaments simply don't wear it the way they chew through brass or hardened steel. PCD also conducts heat exceptionally well, which helps layer adhesion, and the polished tip leaves noticeably smoother top surfaces — a bit like ironing, for free.
Fits
Bambu Lab A1, A1 Mini and A2L. 1.75 mm filament, rated to 320 °C. Not compatible with the H2 series. Your existing slicer profiles work as-is, and Bambu Lab approved these officially, so your printer warranty stays intact.
DiamondBack or ObXidian?
If you print abrasives now and then, the cheaper High Flow ObXidian A1 HotEnd is plenty. If aggressive filled filament is what your machine runs on day in, day out, DiamondBack is the one that stops the nozzle conversation for good.
Skip 0.4 mm for heavily filled filament — the fibres are often close to the hole size. E3D part numbers BAMBU-DIAMOND-A1-AS-0400-SPK and BAMBU-DIAMOND-A1-AS-0600-SPK.
Shipping & delivery
I don't keep this on the shelf: it's ordered from the manufacturer when you buy, so allow about a week before it ships. Then it goes out tracked from the Netherlands. Free over €50 in NL and €75 worldwide.
